Los Angeles Unified is planning for the future and working to ensure we have well-supported schools with strong academic programs across the District.
Why are we having these conversations?
Fewer students are enrolling in our schools, and this is creating challenges we must address together.
What will we discuss?
* Declining enrollment: How it affects our schools and District.
* School mergers, consolidations and closures: Why are we considering these options.
* Future decisions: What factors will guide how they are made.
How can you get involved?
Attend an upcoming information session to:
* Understand the challenges facing our schools.
* Learn about the process for us to build stronger schools together.
* Ask questions and learn how to stay informed and involved.
Choose from in-person, virtual and hybrid sessions offered across all four Los Angeles Unified regions.
